A free, easy to use list for showcasing working dogs in the English Shepherd breed.
This site was developed to provide an organized space for video links of English Shepherds working livestock. Owners can use their listing as an accessible proof of work page to direct people to. Visitors can use this site to research family lines, see how people are using their dogs and connect with working owners/breeders.
A resource intended to connect and develop community for people using their English Shepherds for herding work. We hope to encourage a network of support, appreciation and help for people using their dogs for herding.
All listings require at least one video to demonstrate working ability. Registered names, pedigree information, type/number of stock and owner information are all included in a dog’s listing to make this resource more valuable.

Please read the Requirements For Listing A Dog.
Once you feel that you meet the requirements, please submit a Dog Listing Form. There is no fee to list a dog.
This form will ask for general information, working video link(s), photo, and pedigree of your dog.
If you have more than one dog you'd like to list, we will ask that you fill out a separate form for each.
Once you've completed the form and we've reviewed your working video, we will create a page for your dog on the Working Dog List of this website.
You may ask to amend information, add/remove video links, or have your dog's entire listing removed at any time.

The English Shepherd is a herding and general purpose farm dog developed in 18th-19th century America from landrace working collie dogs brought over by settlers from Britain. These dogs were once ubiquitous on farms throughout the United States and likely share foundational roots with the Australian Shepherd and Border Collie. Official breed registration did not occur until the 1920s.
Working style is upright and loose eyed.
The English Shepherd should be a practical and loyal partner for a farmer.

Viewers should make their own personal judgements on a dog’s working/herding ability and whether those traits are suited to their needs.
This site is not intended to rank, score or judge the working ability of any dog. This site is not intended to validate or invalidate any dog for breeding. Different people need different traits to suit their operation and goals. Please be respectful.
We hope you find this resource useful.
