Requirements For Listing A Dog
Please read the following requirements thoroughly before submitting a request to list your English Shepherd. Contact us if you have any questions.
-
Anyone is welcome to provide working video links and information for their English Shepherd to be listed on this website. Breeders and owners alike are encouraged to participate. If you are not the registered owner of the dog you'd like to list, be sure you have permission from the owner to do so.
A breeder or owner is welcome to have multiple dogs listed. Dogs will be organized under one main title chosen by the owner, such as kennel or farm name. Non-breeders with multiple dogs listed can choose a moniker (such as the name of their farm/ranch) or use their own name for their main listing title. Breeders will have their kennel name listed as their main title.

All dog listings require at least one video for proof of work. These videos must be publicly accessible for viewing. Direct links to videos will be provided with each dog listing.
A dog’s first video must be a minimum of 90 seconds showing interaction between dog and stock, and not be heavily edited. (Exceptions will be made for video of deceased dogs.)
Each dog may have up to 5 video links in their listing.
Additional videos on a dog’s profile may be shorter than 90 seconds.
Videos must demonstrate meaningful interactions between the dog and livestock. These videos should clearly demonstrate a dog’s control and influence over the stock.
We recommend uploading your video to YouTube. Other video platforms will also be accepted so long as they are accessible for public viewing.
We encourage owners to add context to their videos by writing in the description field of each video. Most video platforms allow for this.
-
Farm/Ranch work, Chore work, Herding Trial work and Herding Training work are all acceptable.
Only video of Cattle, Sheep, Goats, Ducks, Turkeys or Geese will be accepted. Chickens, Horses, etc. are not acceptable stock.
Each listing will include type(s) of stock, typical number of stock, and type of work/operation.
-
All dogs listed must be registered English Shepherds. UKC and ESC registries are both accepted.
Registered name and call name will be included for each dog’s personal listing.
A photo may be included for each dog’s personal listing.
An image (photo or screenshot) of your dog’s pedigree is optional but highly encouraged to accompany their listing.
Family connections will be noted via direct link between listed dogs who are closely related. This helps provide continuity and may demonstrate patterns of working traits through generations.
-
We will ask that you provide a preferred form of public contact (email, phone, website, social handle, etc) so that people can get in touch with you to learn more about your dog(s), your breeding program, or even ask for advice.
It is encouraged but not required to provide a form of public contact.
This resource is intended to connect and develop community for people using their English Shepherds for herding work. We hope to see broader support and help for people using their dogs for herding.
